Elixo is built for soft and semi-firm produce — not root vegetables or dense, stringy stalks. Do not press: carrots, celery, beets, or other hard, fibrous fruits and vegetables. Forcing these can jam or damage the unit, and damage caused by pressing unlisted, hard, or fibrous produce is not covered under warranty.
If it jams: Elixo reverses automatically to clear itself. If that doesn't do it, hold the power button to reverse the auger yourself. Same when cleaning — if the parts won't come apart, hold the button to clear the pulp holding them together. Never force a stuck part.
